Jeffrey Anderson is counsel in the Real Estate Practice.

Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in a range of complex real estate transactions and routinely represents clients in all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of real estate assets, sale-leaseback transactions, secured financings, project finance matters, joint ventures, and various M&A transactions. His clients include private equity firms, operators, lenders, developers, real estate investment trusts, and asset managers across a wide variety of industries.

Mr. Anderson's recent experience includes:

  • Series of three simultaneous sale-leaseback transactions for national retailer of certain retail and industrial assets valued at approximately US$1 billion
  • Monetization of approximately US$1 billion of real estate assets: the first in a series of sale leaseback transactions closed in August of 2018 and had a value of approximately US$300 million; the portfolio consisted of complex industrial assets that serve as mission critical distribution centers for a national grocery chain
  • Spirit Realty Capital, Inc. in a US$7.4 billion merger of equals with Cole Credit Property Trust II, two real estate investment trusts (REIT), to create the second largest publicly traded triple-net-lease REIT in the United States
  • Superior Energy Services, Inc. in a US$470 million senior secured revolving credit facility agented by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
  • Lucasfilm, Ltd. in its US$4.05 billion sale of the fully integrated entertainment company to The Walt Disney Company
  • A.O. Smith Corporation in its US$875 million sale of its international Electrical Products Company division to Regal Beloit Corporation
  • Delphi Automotive Systems in its US$727 million sale of its global thermal business to German-based MAHLE GmbH
  • Various lenders and developers in wind energy projects throughout the USA lender in connection with the financing of 13 hydroelectric projects in Illinois, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin
  • A lender in connection with a 620 MW natural gas-fired facility in Washington
