Jed W. Brickner

Retired Partner

Jed W. Brickner retired from the partnership in June 2019. Mr. Brickner was a partner in Latham and Watkins’ New York office and focused his practice on executive compensation and employee benefits law. Mr. Brickner had served on the firm’s Associates, Finance, Investment, Operations & Administration, and Retirement Committees and had also served as Chair of the Employee Benefits Practice and Co-Chair of the Tax Department in the New York office. He joined the firm directly from law school in 1980.

A frequent speaker at industry conferences and writer on employee benefits topics, Mr. Brickner was a co-author of Collier Labor Law and the Bankruptcy Code and a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section and a frequent faculty speaker at Practising Law Institute (PLI) seminars (2011-2015). In addition, he had served on the Drug Appeals Board of USA Track and Field and been a correspondent for Track and Field News.
