Jay Trewn is an associate in the Emerging Companies and Mergers & Acquisitions practices in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins. 

Jay regularly advises US and international based startups, emerging growth companies, and venture capital investors involved in technology, life sciences, and other growth industries. Jay counsels clients on a wide range of venture capital and emerging company transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, early-stage formation and strategy, and corporate governance. 

Jay also represents corporate and private equity clients in complex domestic and cross-border public and private M&A transactions.

Prior to attending law school, Jay worked in management consulting, focusing on regulatory compliance, government contracting, and post-merger integrations in the financial services and healthcare industries.
