James Corra is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.
James advises clients on government and internal investigations and enforcement actions, along with high-stakes tax controversies involving business deductions and estate and gift tax issues. He represents a broad array of clients, including large financial institutions, technology and retail companies, and high-net-worth individuals.
James also maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting low‑income individuals in his community with forming wills and end‑of‑life planning documents, and with other critical legal needs.
James received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, James was a representative of the Student Bar Association, a Peer Advisor, and an Admissions Fellow for the Office of Admissions. James received his BA in Economics from SUNY University at Buffalo, where he graduated summa cum laude, and his Ed.M. in Higher Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
Prior to joining Latham full-time, James was a summer associate in the D.C. office.
