Isabel Overton is an associate in the Dubai office and a member of the Finance Department.

She has experience in a broad range of financing transactions, including bank and project finance, capital markets, and Shari’ah-compliant structures.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Overton worked as an associate at a Magic Circle firm based in Dubai.

Ms. Overton’s experience includes advising:

  • A Middle East steel manufacturer on its 100% acquisition of a seamless pipe manufacturer, the related debt-to-equity conversions of all its shareholder loans and the refinancing of its conventional and Islamic facilities
  • The commercial lenders and an export credit agency in relation to a US$1 billion ECA-covered facility for an NOC
  • Jabal Omar Development Company in relation to its SAR 6 billion refinancing 
  • The borrower in relation to a SAR 1.3 billion refinancing and real estate development facility for a landmark commercial development
  • Governments, including sovereign wealth funds on various financing and refinancing matters
  • A bidder in relation to an IWPP project in KSA
  • The lenders to a bidder in relation to a PPP residential compound in KSA
  • The agents and account banks in relation to the US$585 million debt financing of a first of its kind PPP road concession in Central Asia*
  • JP Morgan and UBS in relation to financing agreements for demerger of €9 billion non-performing assets portfolio*
