Irene Brandão is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department. She advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity.

Prior to qualification, Ms. Brandão spent two years training in the firm’s London office, gaining experience in leveraged finance, debt capital markets, corporate, and data and technology transactions.

Ms. Brandão’s experience includes advising:

  • Citi Ventures on its investment in GoHenry
  • Fertifa Limited, the UK’s first and leading reproductive healthcare benefits provider and provider of a next-generation fertility clinic, on its Series Seed fundraising round led by Passion Capital
  • HSBC on its series B investment in Miotech, an ESG data startup
  • One Rock Capital Partners and its portfolio company GPD Companies, Inc. on the acquisition of Distrupol, a leading European distributor of thermoplastic polymers and elastomers
  • RTP Global, an early-stage VC fund based in Russia, on its lead investment in Stakester’s seed fundraising round
  • StrikeX, a company developing financial products and services utilising blockchain technology, on the £2.8m strategic investment by, and partnership with, CMC Markets
  • Whirli on its £4 million seed financing led by Octopus Ventures
