Imara is an associate in the Boston office of Latham & Watkins.

Imara serves on the BU Law Young Alumni Council.

While in law school, Imara served as a teaching assistant for civil procedure, research assistant to Dean Onwuachi-Willig, research assistant to Professor Portia Pedro, lawyering fellow, staff writer on the Review of Banking & Financial Law, admissions ambassador, and student body president. Imara was awarded the Sylvia Beinecke Robinson Award for making a significant contribution to the life of the School of Law. Imara was also a student clinician for the BU/MIT Student Innovations Law Clinic and received the CLEA Outstanding Clinic Student Award. 

Prior to law school, Imara worked in recruiting at a technology company.
