Ianthe Fry is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Data & Technology Transactions Practice.

Ms. Fry advises on technology transactions, financial regulatory and commercial matters, data protection, intellectual property, and corporate acquisition and divestments.

Ms. Fry is also a member of the firm’s Fintech Industry Group and advises clients on the domestic and cross-border regulatory aspects of fintech initiatives. She spent six months on secondment to Goldman Sachs where she assisted the Digital and Consumer Finance team with a variety of contractual negotiations and regulatory matters relating to the build of its first UK retail investment platform – Marcus Invest.

Ms. Fry’s experience includes advising:

  • Goldman Sachs on contractual negotiations and regulatory matters relating to the build of Marcus Invest
  • A global cryptoasset trading company on its regulatory compliance and the development of its booking model
  • DigitalBridge on transition services matters as part of its acquisition of Telenet’s mobile telecommunication tower business
  • Farfetch, on the provision of luxury and connected retail solutions in the market to the Richemont group
  • A global bank on the potential impact that recent digital laws could have on the banking sector
