Ian Drazen is an associate in the Finance Department of the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins.

Ian represents banks, direct lenders, corporate borrowers, emerging companies, equity sponsors, and other financial institutions in a wide range of transactional matters, including acquisition financings, private equity and growth equity financings, investment grade facilities, non-investment grade facilities, term and revolving loans, asset based loans, bridge loan financings, first- and second lien secured transactions recurring revenue-based financings, working capital financings, royalty sales and revenue participation transactions, and cross-border transactions.

He advises clients on a variety of transactions within a broad array of industries, including life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology, retail, and entertainment.

Ian maintains an active pro bono practice, representing startup companies and non-profits, as well as individuals on a variety of matters, including those seeking asylum.

Prior to joining the firm, Ian worked as a producer in the entertainment industry, producing live action and animated films and television shows. Ian also spent time working for a preeminent international investment bank in New York, Tokyo, and Sydney, as well as for a top-tier business consulting firm.

During law school, Ian was the vice-president of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, and a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review and Loyola Entertainment Moot Court team.
