Hiroko represents sponsors, investors and financial institutions in connection with project financings, acquisition and leveraged financings and other secured lending transactions.

Hiroko was a finance associate at other leading global law firms in New York and Sydney, Australia, where she advised clients on various debt financing and cross-border financial transactions in the energy and infrastructure space.

Hiroko was also a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in Tokyo and the Embassy of Japan in Canberra, Australia, as well as a sustainable investment associate at a leading asset management firm, where she was responsible for developing innovative sustainable finance strategies and products.

Hiroko’s experience includes advising:

  • Orion Resource Partners on the formation and financing of the Orion Critical Mineral Consortium with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation*
  • Australian Renewable Energy Agency in connection with grant funding for Australia’s first utility scale waste-to-energy project financing in Western Australia*
  • Mizuho Bank, Natixis, Société Générale and The Korea Development Bank in connection with the consolidated platform refinancing of the multi-staged 309 MW Hornsdale Wind Farm in South Australia*
  • Jefferies Finance in connection with its US$1.95 billion bank and bond financing*
