Harry Thompson is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and he is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department.
Harry regularly provides strategic advice litigating on behalf of commercial entities and government departments on claims with international elements. Harry has experience advising clients in:
- High Court of England & Wales (Kings Bench Division, Chancery, and Financial List)
- Competition Appeal Tribunal
- Public inquiries
- Various arbitral proceedings
Prior to joining Latham, Harry was an associate at a leading law firm and completed a secondment at the High Court in London, which provided him with a unique insight into the inner workings on the Court. Through this experience, he gained exposure to a wide array of banking and commercial law matters, and insight into judicial decision-making in complex disputes.
Additionally, Harry held a senior position at one of Europe’s fastest-growing tech startups, providing him with a strong knowledge of the AI sector and its strategic challenges.
Harry has been recognized by Made in Manchester as Graduate of the Year 2020 and Rising Star 2020. He was also named Young Lawyer of the Year 2021 by Insider Media NW.
Harry has a keen interest in pro bono matters and has advised clients on various disputes, including international legislative efforts to combat the illegal wildlife trade in Asia, and challenges related to modern-day slavery in the UK.
