Harriet Gray is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the firm’s Execute Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice.

Ms. Gray advises public and private companies on all aspects of employment and incentives law, particularly in the context of large, cross-border merger and acquisition transactions. Ms. Gray also has experience in contentious employment law-related work.

She advises clients within a variety of industries, which have included, for example, large retail, manufacturing, construction, and management and professional services organizations.

Ms. Gray maintains an active pro bono practice, which has included, for example, assisting victims of domestic violence in partnership with the National Centre for Domestic Violence and assisting with discovery work for those facing the death penalty in the United States in partnership with Amicus.*

Ms. Gray is a member of the UK Employment Lawyers Association and Share Plan Lawyers Group. 

Ms. Gray experience includes advising:

  • On a range of complex legal and regulatory issues such as pre and post-completion dismissals, discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, the application of TUPE, the obligations of FCA-regulated employers, and the process of trade union recognition and collective bargaining
  • A leading equipment manufacturer on the restrictions on working time across 17 jurisdictions*
  • A leading global investment firm on the transfer of employees across 25 jurisdictions as part of a complex cross-border acquisition*
  • Various employers on initiating and/or defending employment-related claims in the relevant courts/tribunals*
