Hannah Chi is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins.
Hannah advises healthcare industry clients on allegations of federal fraud and abuse. She also helps clients navigate internal investigations, government investigations, and regulatory issues involving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Hannah maintains an active pro bono practice, as she volunteers regularly at “Your Safe Place” to represent survivors of domestic violence and also works with the Innocence Center to exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals. Hannah received the “2025 San Diego Pro Bono Star Award” for her contributions to these communities.
While in law school, Hannah was a clinical student at the Center for Health Law & Policy Innovation. She also served on the Harvard Law School Student Government as an elected representative and as the Health & Wellness Chair. In addition, Hannah was the Director of Advocacy for the Harvard Disabled Law Students Association and a member of the Korean Association of Harvard Law Students.
Prior to starting her legal career, Hannah spent four years working in global health in Washington, D.C. She managed projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Hannah earned her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park and her JD cum laude from Harvard Law School.
Before joining Latham full-time, Hannah was a summer associate in the San Diego office as a 2L Diversity Scholar.
