Grace McLaughlin is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Grace represents technology and media companies in a variety of complex litigation matters, with a particular concentration on copyright and other intellectual property disputes. Grace has litigated cases in trial and appellate courts around the country, and her experience includes brief writing, discovery disputes, and case strategy and management. Grace also maintains an active pro bono practice.

Prior to joining Latham, Grace was a litigation associate at another international law firm. She also served as a law clerk to Judge Jane Kelly of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and Judge Allyne Ross of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Grace received her JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she served as an articles editor on the Harvard Law Review, worked as a research and teaching assistant for many professors, and received recognition for her pro bono commitment. Her note, “Fanciful Failures: Keeping Nonsense Marks off the Trademark Register,” was published in the Harvard Law Review in 2021. 

Grace received her BA, summa cum laude, and MA from New York University.
