Geoffrey Kirsner advises life sciences companies in complex, high-stakes patent litigation and related intellectual property matters.
Geoff has extensive experience representing industry-leading life sciences companies in a broad range of intellectual property disputes, advising on everything from diligence, prosecution, and regulatory strategy through discovery, trial, appeal, and settlement, as well as disputes before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Drawing on his technical background and deep IP experience, Geoff delivers strategic, commercially focused solutions that advance his clients’ business objectives. While he focuses his practice on patent litigation, Geoff also litigates trade secrets disputes and counsels clients on strategic acquisitions.
Geoff maintains an active pro bono practice, including advocating for persons seeking asylum.
Prior to joining Latham, Geoff was an intellectual property litigation associate at the New York office of another international law firm. While in law school, Geoff was a member of the Cyberlaw Clinic, where he advised clients on pro bono matters, including the legality of “scraping” immigration data from publicly available federal government websites.
