Gemma Cotton is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Gemma advises clients on a variety of transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, public takeovers, and general corporate matters across a range of sectors.

Gemma maintains an active pro bono practice, representing a range of charities in respect of corporate governance matters and individuals from lower income backgrounds in appealing their entitlement to a personal independence payment in partnership with the Bethnal Green Legal Advice Centre.

Gemma serves on the sub-committee of the Women’s Lawyers Group and assists the group organizing events internally and externally.

Prior to qualification, Gemma spent two years training in the firm’s London office, gaining a variety of experience in corporate, employment and pensions, litigation, and real estate.
