Esther Pai is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department.
Esther represents clients in a variety of high-stakes, complex commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, business torts, insurance coverage actions, bad faith litigation, and intellectual property disputes.
Esther also counsels and advises employers on a broad range of employment law matters, including: internal investigations; pre-litigation employment disputes; reductions in force, terminations, and severance arrangements; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; reasonable accommodations; wage and hour compliance; and labor and employment due diligence in connection with merger and acquisition transactions.
Esther graduated from Berkeley Law, where she received the Dean’s Fellowship. While attending law school, Esther served as a judicial extern in the US District Court for the Southern District of California.
Prior to law school, Esther worked in human resources and compensation in the technology sector. She also attained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
