Erin Wainwright serves as Associate General Counsel in Latham’s Office of the General Counsel, where she delivers key strategic and operational support to the Deputy General Counsel. In this role, she assists with departmental strategy and operations, oversees special projects aligned with OGC leadership’s strategic vision, and translates large-scale initiatives into actionable plans. These efforts support Latham’s core business services teams that address global professional ethics and regulatory requirements, manage the opening of new clients and matters, and develop scalable solutions to meet evolving compliance standards. She draws on her sophisticated understanding of compliance and conflicts to advise on day-to-day inquiries, as well as develop and implement related policies and procedures. Erin also counsels the firm on professional ethics concerns, regulatory compliance, and ethical and business conflicts of interest.
She previously worked with the global team responsible for the firm’s business intake procedures and supported all Latham offices with respect to associated compliance and risk management issues. Before joining Latham“s Office of the General Counsel, Erin worked as a conflicts attorney at another international law firm. Before that, she engaged in policy and communications work for an international intellectual property bar association.
Erin is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional and is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
