Emma Tran* is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Emerging Companies Fintech Practice and the Fintech Industry Group.

Ms. Tran advises incumbent and emerging businesses on complex regulatory issues relating to the digitization of new and existing products, services, and platforms, both on a domestic and cross-border basis. 

She collaborates with her client’s leadership team to deliver on projects relating to:

  • Digital investment platforms, including MiFID II, client money, and custody issues
  • Cryptoassets and the tokenization of traditional assets
  • Payment services, including PSD2/3, open banking, and PaaS / BaaS issues
  • Regulatory engagement, including licensing, advertising, and Section 166 matters

In 2018, Ms Tran was seconded to Goldman Sachs and provided end-to-end advice for the launch of their UK digital and consumer business, Marcus.**
