Emma Bunting is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

Emma represents clients in white collar defense matters and investigations, and a wide range of commercial disputes. Emma is also experienced in providing transactional due diligence support and advising on compliance issues.

Emma maintains an active pro bono practice, regularly advising clients at the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau and assisting individuals in applying for the government’s Windrush compensation scheme.

Prior to qualification, Emma trained in the firm’s London and Hong Kong offices, gaining experience in the corporate real estate, corporate (private equity / VC / M&A) and leveraged finance departments.

Emma’s experience includes advising:

  • A prominent consortium of companies in relation to a wide-ranging multijurisdictional SFO investigation, as well as liaising with numerous other UK and foreign regulators
  • A global healthcare provider in relation to investigations and compliance matters
  • An Asian renewable energy company in their defense of a US$2 billion indemnity claim brought by former management in a London-seated LCIA arbitration
  • An English bank in relation to a potential claim by customers alleging unfair contractual terms
