Elina Stavropoulou is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Elina represents public and private companies and financial institutions on a broad range of equity and debt capital markets transactions. Her experience includes representing issuers, underwriters, and initial purchasers in initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, investment grade, and high-yield debt offerings. 

Elina’s experience covers a range of industries, including transportation, insurance and life sciences, as well as cross-border transactions.

Prior to joining Latham, Elina worked as an associate at another leading law firm in London and Milan. She also completed a traineeship at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Competition.

Elina’s experience includes advising:

  • Athens International Airport in connection with its initial public offering and the listing of its shares on the ATHEX
  • A life sciences company in connection with a registered direct equity offering and a concurrent private placement
  • Advised Hybar in connection with a municipal bond offering to build a technologically advanced scrap metal recycling steel rebar mill
  • Bank of America in connection with an offering of Senior Secured Notes by a software and technology company
  • UKAR in connection with a £5 billion asset sale of legacy portfolios of residential mortgages and a combined share sale, conducted via an auction process*
