Daniel Dominguez is Local Co-Chair of the Litigation & Trial Department in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins, a partner in the Litigation Department, and a member of the White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice. He serves as a Vice Chair of the firm's Diversity Leadership Committee.

Mr. Dominguez primarily advises clients on white collar defense, internal investigations, and enforcement actions by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Prior to rejoining the firm, Mr. Dominguez served as Associate Counsel to President Barack Obama in the Office of the White House Counsel. In this role, Mr. Dominguez provided strategic legal guidance to the White House Counsel and senior White House advisors on a wide range of legal and policy issues, including matters related to congressional oversight and investigations and other compliance-related matters. Mr. Dominguez also counseled several federal agency clients and worked with clients to develop strategies in response to congressional investigations.

From 2005 to 2013, Mr. Dominguez served as an associate at Latham in the White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice. He represented clients in several enforcement actions, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations and sanctions violations investigations. Mr. Dominguez counseled clients relating to their internal FCPA policies and procedures, helped clients design and implement effective systems of internal controls, and provided training to clients on FCPA compliance. Mr. Dominguez also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations in Spanish and counseling clients throughout Latin America.
