Blade Angel is an associate in the Corporate Department of the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Blade represents clients on corporate transactions, including issuers and initial purchasers in connection with securities offerings.

Prior to joining the firm, Blade worked in risk management and portfolio hedging on multi-asset trading desks in Chicago and London. Blade holds a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and spent a term at Queen Mary University of London. While attaining his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, he also studied for a semester at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China, focusing on emerging market finance.

Blade maintains an active pro bono practice, primarily representing individuals seeking asylum and other protected immigration status in the United States.

  • ASDA in connection with its issuance of €700 million 8.00% senior secured notes due 2031
  • Harbour Energy plc in connection with its issuance of US$900 million in aggregate principal amount of 6.327% senior notes due 2035
  • Wintershall Dea Finance 2 B.V. (a subsidiary of Harbour Energy plc) in connection with its issuance of €900 million Perpetual Guaranteed Subordinated Fixed Rate Reset Notes
  • TI Fluid Systems plc in the delisting of its €600 million 3.750% senior notes due 2029
  • The notes purchasers on Vivion Investments S.à r.l. €250 million tap offering of its 6.50% plus PIK senior secured notes due 2028
