Prior to joining Latham, Courtney was an associate at another firm, where she prosecuted patent applications, represented clients in Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, and litigated in federal courts. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Schroeder III at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the Honorable Leonard P. Stark at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
