Chris Lim is a corporate associate in the Silicon Valley office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.

Chris represents publicly traded and privately held companies, private equity funds, and venture capital firms in mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic corporate transactions. His experience includes:

  • Mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions
  • Controlling and minority investments
  • Joint ventures
  • Carve-outs
  • Public and private financing transactions, including debt and equity
  • General corporate representation

He advises clients across a range of industries, which include software and technology, healthcare and life sciences, and consumer products, among others.

Prior to qualification, Chris trained in the firm’s London office, gaining experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, and leveraged finance. He was also seconded to the firm’s Hong Kong office, where he gained experience on a range of mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, and capital markets matters.

Chris’s experience includes advising:

  • AMD in various transactions, including its acquisition of Silo AI and ZT Systems
  • Supermaven in its acquisition by Cursor
  • Silver Lake in its lead participation, along with DigitalBridge, in Vantage Data Centers’ US$6.4 billion equity investment round
  • GreyLion Partners in its sale of MTL Holdings to Carlisle Companies
  • Coherus Biosciences in the divestiture of its Ophthalmology business to Sandoz
  • Cadence Design Systems in its acquisition of BETA CAE; and the Rambus SerDes and memory interface PHY IP business
  • e.l.f. Beauty in its US$355 million acquisition of Naturium
  • Sutherland Global in its acquisition of Suneratech
  • Tizona Therapeutics in connection with Gilead Sciences’ US$300 million investment to acquire of 49.9% of Tizona Therapeutics equity interests
