Christine O’Brien Laramy is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins.

Christine advises clients on intellectual property litigation, particularly for clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and life sciences industries. 

While in law school, Christine served as a Senior Life Sciences Editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. She published two student notes on patent law and the life sciences industry. Christine earned Berkeley Law’s Law & Technology Certificate and the Jurisprudence Award in Intellectual Property Law. Christine is a member of the Order of the Coif

Prior to joining Latham, Christine was a judicial extern for Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley of the Northern District of California. She also worked as an analyst at Latham & Watkins where she provided scientific assistance on intellectual property matters.

Christine earned her PhD in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Northwestern University. The National Science Foundation awarded her a Graduate Research Fellowship. The International Institute for Nanotechnology named Christine a 2018 Outstanding Researcher. While in graduate school, Christine interned for the Innovations and New Ventures Office at Northwestern University.
