Charles See advises borrowers, sponsors and creditors on complex leveraged finance matters, with a focus on distressed and special situations transactions.

He has significant experience in liability management exercises, alternative capital solutions, workouts and other restructurings (both in and out of court).

Before joining Latham, Charles was a restructuring and finance associate at another leading New York law firm and clerked for Judge Paul B. Matey of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. 

Before law school, he worked as an investment banking analyst and associate at Credit Suisse. 

Charles’s experience includes advising:

  • Office Properties Income Trust in various matters, including its 2024 and 2025 exchange transactions*
  • Mallinckrodt in various matters, including its 2020 prearranged chapter 11 cases and 2023 prepackaged chapter 11 cases*
  • The RealReal in its 2024 and 2025 exchange transactions*
