Catherine Sims is an associate in the Houston office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Sims represents a variety of clients, including public and private companies and private equity funds, in a range of strategic corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Sims worked as a judicial extern for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. While in law school, she served as a member of the Wake Forest Law Review, the Associate Chief Justice of the Wake Forest Moot Court Board, and participated in the Wake Forest Community Law and Business Clinic.

Prior to law school, Ms. Sims earned her BS in Finance and BS in Business Management from Virginia Tech. 

Ms. Sims' experience includes advising:

  • ExxonMobil in its collaboration with CF Industries and EnLink Midstream on the largest-of-its-kind emissions-reduction project in Louisiana to capture and permanently store up to two million metrics tons of CO2 annually
