Brittany Record is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.
Brittany focuses on case strategy and motions practice in complex cases in state and federal courts. She has argued several cases in the Fourth and Seventh Circuits, the Virginia Supreme Court, and the Virginia trial courts.
She previously served as Deputy Solicitor General of Virginia.
Before joining Latham, Brittany served as a law clerk to Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer of the Supreme Court of the United States, Judge Patricia Millett of the US Court of Appeals for the Washington, D.C. Circuit, and Judge Jeffrey Sutton of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Brittany earned her JD from Stanford Law School, where she served as President of the Stanford Law Review.
