Brittany Marie Jones Record is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.
Mrs. Record focuses on motions practice in complex cases and appeals in the United States Courts of Appeals and state appellate courts. She has argued several cases in the Fourth and Seventh Circuits, the Virginia Supreme Court, and the Virginia trial courts. She also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on constitutional issues.
Mrs. Record previously served as senior counsel to the January 6th Committee in the US House of Representatives and Deputy Solicitor General of Virginia.
Before joining Latham, Mrs. Record served as a law clerk to Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer of the Supreme Court of the United States, Judge Patricia Millett of the US Court of Appeals for the Washington, D.C. Circuit, and Judge Jeffrey Sutton of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Mrs. Record earned her JD from Stanford Law School, where she served as President of the Stanford Law Review and Vice President of the American Constitution Society.
