Bobby Vance, a former DOJ Antitrust Division litigator with more than 15 years of experience in government and private practice, represents clients in complex, large-scale merger, monopolization, and price-fixing matters across a broad range of industries.

Before joining Latham, Bobby served in the Antitrust Division as a trial attorney and later as Special Assistant to the Directors of Civil and Economic Enforcement. As a trial attorney, he led and contributed to several high-profile antitrust matters, including United States v. Visa, United States v. Bertelsmann, and United States v. Amex GBT. As Special Assistant, he advised Division leadership on civil enforcement strategy and worked closely with litigators and economists on significant investigations and enforcement matters.

Bobby received both the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service and the Assistant Attorney General’s Award of Distinction, among the Department of Justice’s highest honors.

Bobby previously practiced at another leading global law firm, where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex antitrust matters, including putative class actions involving price-fixing allegations. He clerked for the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Bobby is a leader in the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section and serves as Vice Chair of its Federal Civil Rules and Practice Committee.
