Blair Anthony is an attorney in the Office of the General Counsel at Latham & Watkins, where he plays an integral role in the firm’s Contract Review Team. He supports all of Latham’s offices by reviewing the firm’s commercial agreements with outside vendors, ensuring that contracts executed on behalf of the firm are thoroughly vetted for significant legal, risk management, and business issues. This includes confirming that all contracts adequately protect the firm’s interests, address relevant privacy and security concerns, and align with the firm’s policies and standards.
His responsibilities extend to reviewing, revising, negotiating, and executing contracts firm-wide. He also consults with the owner of the vendor relationship and other relevant stakeholders to determine the firm’s strategy for negotiating business terms.
In addition to his contract review duties, Blair participates in training and outreach initiatives across the firm to introduce the contract review process. He develops and maintains strong, productive relationships with staff, managers, and senior leaders throughout the firm. Blair also collaborates with the Office of the General Counsel on various risk management and special projects.
Before joining Latham & Watkins, Blair served as commercial legal counsel for a leading candy manufacturer and, earlier in his career, drafted and negotiated commercial and technology agreements at a global professional services organization. During law school, Blair served as the Executive Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review.
