Ben Leigh is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Data & Technology Transactions Practice.

Mr. Leigh advises clients on a range of matters, including those requiring advice related to data privacy, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, commercial contracts, licensing, online platform regulation, fintech, and web3.

Mr. Leigh maintains an active pro bono practice representing charities and vulnerable individuals.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Leigh was a generative AI research assistant to the Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at the University of Oxford.

  • Patria Investments Limited, a global alternative asset manager and industry leader in Latin America, on its agreement for the carve-out acquisition of a private equity solutions business (abrdn Private Equity) from abrdn Inc.
  • Urbaser, a world leader in environmental solutions owned by Platinum Equity, on the sale of its Nordic business
  • Farfetch, a leading global marketplace for the luxury fashion industry, on its sale to Coupang and Greenoaks
  • HUB Cyber Security, an Israel-based developer of cybersecurity solutions and services, in its business combination with Mount Rainier Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company
  • An international payments provider on the launch of its product across the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia
