Avery Stefan advises clients on all aspects of financing transactions.
Avery represents both private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies public and private companies, and lenders in connection with:
- Leveraged buyouts
- Highly leveraged financings
- Cash-flow and asset-based facilities
- Recurring revenue-based facilities
- Recapitalizations
- Work-outs and restructurings
- Liability management transactions
- Special situation transactions, including syndicated and privately placed financings
Avery maintains a pro bono practice and has enjoyed working with the Alliance for Children’s Rights to facilitate successful adoptions through the organization. Avery has also handled translation of written documents from French to English to support an asylum claim under the grounds of racial and ethnic persecution.
Avery served as president of the USC Gould School of Law Business Law Society, alumni chair of the Women’s Law Association, was a member of the Entertainment Law Society, a barristers student liaison to the Los Angeles County Bar Association, a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, and a property law teaching assistant. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Avery worked in M&A advisory on the sell-side and in insurance consulting as a licensed broker.
