Andrew Yau is an associate in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department. 

Mr. Yau focuses on a variety of corporate transactions including M&A, capital markets, derivatives, and structured finance and securitization.

 

Mr. Yau' s recent representative experience includes advising:

  • Credit Suisse and CLSA as underwriters on the US$280 million convertible bonds issuance by XD Inc., a China-based game developer and global publisher
  • Credit Suisse as underwriter on the US$350 million zero coupon convertible bonds issuance by Hope Education Group, a Chinese higher education services provider
  • UBS as underwriter on the US$125 million convertible bonds issuance by China Maple Leaf Educational Systems
  • Greenwood, indirectly owned by GIC (Ventures) Pte Ltd, on an acquisition of a stake in Sunway Healthcare, a leading private healthcare operator in Malaysia, by way of share subscription for an aggregate consideration of MYR750 million (approximately US$180 million)
  • Warburg Pincus on the US$225 million investment in Converge ICT Solutions, a Philippines-based telecommunications provider
  • Lodgis Hospitality Holdings Pte. Ltd., on its amendment and extension to term loan facility
  • Vincommerce, a Vietnam-based conglomerate focusing on real estate development, retail, and services ranging from healthcare to hospitality in its investment by a consortium led by GIC
