Andrew DiMatteo is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins, a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department, and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). His practice focuses on technology and intellectual property matters involving complex litigation, government enforcement actions, internal investigations, and cybersecurity and data privacy issues.

Andrew advises clients on cybersecurity risks, incident response, compliance with legal and regulatory data privacy frameworks, consumer protection, and trade secret and copyright matters.

Andrew maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients on immigration matters in partnership with organizations such as the National Immigrant Justice Center.

Prior to joining Latham, Andrew worked as a software engineer at a global IT consultancy before receiving his JD from Washington University in St. Louis. In law school, Andrew was a member of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law’s Entrepreneurship Clinic and assisted startups and non-profits with corporate matters.
