Andrea Garcia Martinez is an Associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Project Development & Finance Practice.

Andrea represents corporate clients in a variety of cross-border corporate transactions in the US and Latin America, including project financings, acquisition financings, and other secured lending and tax equity transactions.

She advises clients on transactions within the energy and infrastructure industries, with a focus on renewable energy, including onshore and offshore wind, distributed generation and utility-scale solar, and battery storage projects.

Andrea’s experience includes advising:

  • Terra-Gen, as the sponsor, in construction debt and tax equity financings of multi-phased Lockhart 160 MW solar project and 180 MWh battery storage project in San Bernardino County, California
  • Apex Clean Energy, as the sponsor, in the construction debt and tax equity financings of wind and solar projects, including the:
    • 195 MWac Angelo and 200 MWac Big Elm solar projects in Texas 
  • Primergy, as the sponsor, in the tax equity financing of the 100MW Prairie Mist solar project in Ashley County, Arkansas
  • Orion Infrastructure Capital, as the lender, in financing of the Bakersfield biofuels and renewable diesel refinery in Bakersfield, California
  • Lenders on the acquisition financing of an LNG regasification terminal, located in Valparaiso, Chile
  • Tax equity investor in the project financing of a 110 MW solar project in Concho County, Texas
