Amara Banks

Amara is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins.

Amara received her JD from Yale Law School, where she served as Chief Speechwriter to Dean Heather K. Gerken. She also advised reporters and documentary filmmakers as a Student Fellow in the Yale Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, and held a legal externship in NPR’s Office of the General Counsel. 

Before joining Latham full-time, Amara worked in risk strategy for a financial services corporation. She received her BA in Philosophy from Barnard College.
