Alyssa Dolan is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.  

Ms. Dolan represents clients in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on the life sciences industry.

Ms. Dolan has experience at all phases of litigation, including pre-filing investigations, fact and expert discovery, witness preparation, discovery and dispositive motion practice, trial preparation, trial and post-trial practice, and appellate practice. She has worked on intellectual property matters in federal district courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and arbitration.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Dolan served as a law clerk for the Honorable Tiffany P. Cunningham of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Dolan also previously worked at a major international law firm, where she represented clients in intellectual property litigation.

Ms. Dolan earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as the Executive Editor of the Georgetown Food and Drug Law Journal, and her BS in Chemistry from Fordham University.

Ms. Dolan’s experience includes representing: 

  • A biotechnology company in patent litigation concerning its antibody treatment for COVID-19
  • A medical device company in multi-patent and trade secret litigation concerning spinal cord stimulation and implantable medical device technology to treat pain*
  • A life science company in multiple patent suits concerning replacement Factor VIII products used to treat hemophilia* 
  • A biopharmaceutical company in trademark and breach of contract litigation*
