This transaction was named African Energy Transition Deal of the Year by IJGlobal Awards 2023
  • TotalEnergies in connection with financing of a US$50 billion joint venture to develop the largest green hydrogen project globally and the largest ever project financing of a company 
  • Microsoft in the first ever project finance facility for solar minigrids, provided by Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund and Bank of America to CrossBoundary Energy Access II (CBEA II)
  • PTT Exploration & Production on the acquisition of a 25.5% stake in Seagreen Wind Energy, a UK-based operator of wind farms, from TotalEnergies
  • An investor on its minority investment in H2 Green Steel
  • Lenders on financings for Envision AESC UK Plant 2 Limited in connection with its gigafactory in Sunderland, UK
  • A major international bank and UK Export Finance on a €95 million export credit facility for the development, supply, and installation of various solar pumping systems in Uganda*

LNG

  • The Lenders in the US$20 billion project financing of the Ichthys LNG project, the largest project financing ever taken to market, globally. This transaction was named Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Deal of the Year by IJGlobal Asia Pacific Awards 2022
  • ENN Energy in connection with the negotiation of long-term LNG purchase arrangements with producers based in Louisiana, USA
  • A multinational commodity trading company in connection with the negotiation of an LNG sale and purchase agreement
  • A major international bank on a US$72 million loan relating to the acquisition of five LNG carriers by a joint venture between NYK and Geogas*

Oil & Gas

  • Vivo Energy on the financing arrangements in relation to its acquisition of a 74% stake in Engen
  • A multinational commodity trading company in connection with its crude oil offtake arrangements in Nigeria
  • A multinational commodity trading company in connection with a framework agreement to amend its offtake arrangements and related financing terms with a Texas based upstream oil company
  • A multinational commodity trading company in connection with a crude oil prepayment agreement with a Dubai based trading company
  • NNPC in connection with a US$1.04 billion financing used to acquire a minority stake in Dangote Refinery
  • The lending syndicate on Phase 1 of a US$920 million crude oil refinery; the Phase 1 facility is a US$220 million limited recourse facility for the development of a 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude distillation unit and storage facility in Central Africa*
