Alexandra (Ali) Goldman is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins.

Ali represents public and private companies and individuals in complex civil matters in federal and state courts, in white collar criminal matters, and in government and internal investigations. She advises clients across various industries, including media and technology, financial services, data analytics, and healthcare and life sciences. 

Ali maintains an active pro bono practice, having represented clients in asylum and family law matters.  

Prior to joining Latham, Ali was a litigation and white collar associate at another global law firm in New York City. She received her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was the managing editor of the Virginia Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, served as the mentorship co-chair of the Virginia Law Women group, and a peer advisor.  

While in law school, Ali was a summer intern at the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Division of Enforcement and participated in the UVA Law Criminal Defense Clinic.

Ali’s experience includes advising: 

  • A ticket sales and distribution company in connection with government inquiries 
  • A healthcare company in connection with an arbitration concerning a former employee
  • A data and analytics company in investigations by multiple government agencies, resulting in a negotiated settlement for the company*
  • A medical laboratory company in investigations by the DOJ* 
  • Multiple companies and boards of private and quasi-public institutions in connection with internal investigations concerning purported workplace relationships, sexual misconduct, misuse of funds, corruption, retaliation, and workplace culture*
  • Executives of a medical device company cooperating with the DOJ and SEC regarding an investigation concerning alleged market manipulation* 
  • The New York State Assembly in impeachment investigations relating to a former New York governor* 
  • A large media and technology company in compliance-related matters following a consent decree with the FTC and DOJ* 
  • A board member for third party witness testimony in a shareholder derivative suit*
