Alex Greer is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Alex was a summer associate in the New York office, a law clerk at the US Attorney’s Office, and a legal extern at Doing Things Media.

Alex earned his JD from UCLA School of Law with a specialization in media, entertainment, technology, and sports law. While in law school, he served as the Chief Submissions Editor for the UCLA Entertainment Law Review, as an Advanced Clinician in the UCLA Documentary Film Legal Clinic, and as a research assistant focusing on copyright and the fair use doctrine. He was also on the Moot Court Honors Board and a national champion on UCLA’s Mock Trial Team.

Prior to law school, Alex spent nearly a decade working in the entertainment industry. He began as a screen actor, with appearances on “Scandal” and “The Young and the Restless,” but spent the majority of his career operating an independent production company and producing documentaries. His work as a producer saw premieres at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Slamdance, and Tribeca Film Festival.
