Adam Ziegler, Director of Artificial Intelligence – Legal Innovation, leads the firm’s strategic implementation of AI technologies to support the firm’s practices and drive legal innovation.
He brings a unique blend of technical, commercial, legal, and innovation expertise. Adam’s career spans law firm practice, legal technology entrepreneurship, academic leadership, and industry consulting.
Before joining Latham, Adam led AI development and evaluation at another law firm and served as a founding member of a legal AI research lab, advising top-tier law firms on AI strategy and custom application development. He also led solutions architecture and customer success for a growth-stage legal technology startup and led an award-winning software development and innovation lab at Harvard Law School.
Earlier in his career, Adam practiced for a decade as a litigator at prominent law firms, trying major cases to winning verdicts in state and federal court, and clerked for a judge on the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
