Adam Chernicoff is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

Adam represents clients in high-stakes antitrust trials, antitrust litigation, and antitrust reviews of mergers and acquisitions.

Adam has defended against antitrust challenges to business combinations, and defended against claims of exclusive dealing, tying, and monopolization, among others. 

He has also represented clients before the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in numerous high-profile transactions. Alongside this, he advises clients on joint ventures, competitor collaborations, unilateral conduct, and pricing and distribution issues.

Adam’s work spans many industries, including sports, media and entertainment, technology, healthcare, and more.

Prior to law school, Adam worked as a special assistant for International Economics at the National Security Council and as an Advance Associate at the White House.

Adam’s experience includes representing:

  • Activision Blizzard Inc. in its $75 billion acquisition by Microsoft Corporation, including a successful defense against the FTC’s challenge to the merger in federal court*
  • Intelsat S.A. in its $3.1 billion sale to SES S.A.*
  • Intuitive Surgical in lawsuits brought by purported competitors and in a class action in connection with the sale of its surgical instruments and servicing of its robotic-assisted surgery systems*
  • Juggernaut Capital in the sale of its portfolio company Mitchell & Ness to Fanatics*
  • Juniper in its $14 billion acquisition by HPE*
  • NHL, NBA, PGA Tour, and NCAA for various litigation and advisory matters*
