Abir Mishra is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Project Development & Finance Practice.

Abir advises sponsors, borrowers, and lenders on a range of project finance and development transactions across the energy and infrastructure sector, with a particular focus on power and renewables.

Abir’s experience includes representing:

  • Equinor and Polenergia on the project financing of over €6 billion for the development of each of the Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III 720 MW offshore wind projects in Poland (PFI Europe Deal of the Year 2025 and IJGlobal Offshore Wind Deal of the Year 2025)*
  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition financing for its purchase of Ørsted's European onshore business, encompassing 800 MW of operational and under-construction assets*
  • The commercial lenders on the refinancing of a borrowing base facility for a Nigerian oil exploration and extraction company*
  • The commercial lenders on an ECA-covered untied facility for a Southeast Asian investor and developer in the energy and utilities sector*
  • A US asset manager on the acquisition financing for its purchase of a global marine and shipping services company*
  • The lenders to a global BESS developer and operator on a range of financing transactions, enabling the organisation to expand BESS sites in the United Kingdom and refinance various operational assets in its portfolio*
