Aaron Ko is an associate in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Mr. Ko advises international banks, financial institutions, corporates, and high net worth individuals on a range of structured finance, derivatives, capital markets, and banking transactions.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Ko worked as an associate in the Sydney and Hong Kong offices of a Magic Circle law firm for four years. During this time, Mr. Ko was seconded to HSBC for four months, focusing on fixed income and derivatives products.

Mr. Ko's recent experience includes advising on:

  • Offerings of debt, equity-linked, credit-linked, and hybrid securities such as convertible and exchangeable securities
  • Margin loans and other share backed financings secured on Hong Kong, US, Thai, and Indian listed securities
  • OTC derivatives across different asset classes including interest, FX, equity, and credit
  • Structured products and establishment of structured and repackaging programs
