Wind Investment Awards Names Janice Schneider Lawyer of the Year

The Wind Investment Awards has named Janice Schneider, a partner in Latham & Watkins’ Environment, Land & Resources Practice, Lawyer of the Year, recognizing her leadership across the US offshore wind sector.

The award honors Schneider’s role in litigation, where she secured multiple preliminary injunctions lifting federal stop-work orders and allowing offshore wind project construction and commissioning to resume.

Drawing on more than three decades of experience — including prior service as Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the US Department of the Interior — Schneider advises clients across complex energy, environmental, and regulatory matters.

This recognition underscores Latham’s strength in advising on the most sophisticated matters shaping the future of renewable energy.
