Helena Tseregounis honored for her leadership in the legal profession and community by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

Helena Tseregounis, a partner in Latham & Watkins’ Los Angeles office and Regional Vice Chair of the firm’s Finance Department in California, has been named among the 2026 Women of Influence: Attorneys by the Los Angeles Business Journal. The annual recognition celebrates visionary lawyers who drive progress across diverse sectors through their leadership, innovation, and dedication to community.

Helena advises companies, creditors, buyers, creditors’ committees, and other interested parties across the insolvency life cycle, including in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, distressed asset acquisitions, bankruptcy-related litigation, and out-of-court restructurings. She also regularly guides companies on successful strategies to address mass tort and legacy liabilities.

The Los Angeles Business Journal called her “a standout partner” who “forges trusted relationships with her high-profile clients and helps them navigate their most business-critical issues with a calm, methodological approach.”

In the community, Helena has supported a variety of programs related to career development and attorney retention, including in her recent role as a member of Latham’s Recruiting Committee. She is also a former Co-Chair of the firm’s Los Angeles Women Lawyers Group and a former member of the Los Angeles Pro Bono Committee.
