M&A and Private Equity Finance Partners Earn Emerging Leaders Award

The M&A Advisor recognizes four Latham partners under age 40 who have reached a significant level of success and made notable contributions to their industry and community. 

Latham partners Ian Bushner, Kendra Kocovsky, Leah Sauter, and Javier Stark have received The M&A Advisor’s 2022 Emerging Leaders Award, which recognizes leading M&A and financing professionals who have “reached a significant level of success and made notable contributions to their industry and community.”

Bushner is a partner in the M&A and Private Equity Practices in both the Boston and Chicago offices. He advises clients on complex business transactions with a focus on private equity sponsors, and regularly structures, negotiates, and executes a full spectrum of complex domestic and cross-border deals. He is a strong advocate for professional responsibility and social justice, maintaining active engagement on diversity and inclusion issues. Additionally, he maintains an active and award-winning pro bono practice.

Kocovsky is a partner in the Private Equity Finance Practice in the New York office. She represents private equity sponsors and borrowers in a variety of financing transactions, including term and revolving credit facilities, asset-based credit facilities, and mezzanine financings, with a focus on large-cap acquisition financings. Beyond her commercial work, Kocovsky dedicates significant time to helping train and mentor lawyers as they progress in their careers.

Sauter is a partner in the M&A Practice in the New York office. She represents public and private companies and their boards, as well as private equity firms, in a range of corporate and M&A matters, including cross-border transactions. She is involved in Latham’s Women Enriching Business (WEB) Committee and dedicates significant time to training and mentoring associates.

Stark is a partner in the M&A and Private Equity Practices in the New York office. He represents private equity firms and public and private companies in complex and cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions. He is actively engaged in the firm’s mentoring and training programs and devotes time to pro bono work as well.
