Litigation and Corporate Partners Named Among Top 100 Lawyers in Los Angeles
Litigation partner Rob Ellison and corporate partner Rick Offsay have been named by the Los Angeles Business Journal among its 2026 Top 100 Lawyers, honored for “setting the standard for excellence in law” and for their work shaping business in Los Angeles — whether driving complex deals, guiding high-stakes matters, or elevating the profession through mentorship and service.
Rob, Vice Regional Chair of the Litigation & Trial Department in Southern California, is a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice. Recognized for advising clients in the areas of real estate, entertainment, sports, and media, and general commercial litigation, Rob has successfully represented clients ranging from public companies, real estate developers and firms, private equity backed portfolio companies, and sports franchises to leading internet, entertainment, and emerging companies. Rob is a seasoned trial lawyer and has co-first chaired numerous successful arbitrations. He also has extensive experience conducting highly sensitive internal investigations and regularly consults on transactional matters with an emphasis on limiting clients’ litigation exposure.
Rick, Global Co-Chair of the firm's Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice, was recognized for blending “deal-making fluency with an understanding of the rapidly evolving entertainment and media landscape” and leading multiple industry-shaping deals including advising Skydance in its merger with Paramount to form Paramount Skydance Corporation; and Silver Lake, as part of a consortium, in its pending acquisition of Electronic Arts. Rick combines sophisticated industry knowledge with a deep understanding of the businesses of both investors and strategics to help clients navigate mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures and capital raises, financing transactions, and complex commercial arrangements.
