Leading Technology M&A Team to Join Latham & Watkins in London

Return of Andrew Boyd and Gary Brown, alongside the addition of Luke Rowland, further expands and strengthens Latham’s leadership in M&A and private capital.

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that partners Andrew Boyd, Gary Brown, and Luke Rowland will join the firm’s London office as partners in the M&A and Private Equity Practice. Together, they bring extensive experience advising public companies, private equity firms, and other investors on a range of sophisticated cross-border corporate transactions, with a particular focus on the technology, AI, fintech, semiconductors, and media and digital sectors.

The highly regarded team advises on cutting-edge UK, European, and transatlantic M&A; takeovers; joint ventures; and reorganizations. They have also built a strong reputation in company representation work, advising public companies and boards of directors on corporate governance matters.

Boyd, Brown, and Rowland will join Latham from Morrison & Foerster. Boyd was an associate in Latham’s London office from 2008 to 2016, and Brown from 2011 to 2016. Boyd earned an LLB from the University of Essex and an LPC from the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice; Brown holds an LLB from the University of Glasgow and a Dip LP from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law; and Rowland holds a BA and an MA from the University of Cambridge.
